Professionally, Deon began his career as a computer programmer on Wall Street and currently still operates within the financial services sector as a project manager. He has authored the book, “How to Make It from The Classroom to The Cubicle” – An instructional guide for early career professionals and is also a certified life coach and motivational speaker. Among his favorite scripture verses is Philippians 4:13 (KJV) – I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Leah is a trained business journalist, spending more than a decade as a financial news anchor, reporter, and producer in the New York area. She holds a master’s degree from New York University in business and economic reporting and obtained a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Morgan State University. Leah’s passion for mentoring the next generation of journalists led her to leadership mentoring roles at NYU while also serving as an adjunct instructor.

Deon and Leah have been married since 2008 and currently reside in New Jersey with their three children – Darion Emanuel, Daniel Elijah and Lael Taylor – their pride and joy. They are also the co-founders and pastors of Bethel House of Worship located in Westwood, NJ.
